The voices in Feng shui 风水 (風水)

The sounds are already a subject of Fengshui, but as my critics, always of objects, and sometimes not the most important. The voices can be louder than chimes and fountains, much used in Feng shui, and carry meanings, emotions, energies, qi 气 (氣).

The most obvious problem with voice is when they are loud. And the most common cause for this problem is when a voice has to compete with others loud voices, generating a snowball effect, and if all the voices are louder, when you need the energy of a loud speech it won’t have effect because all the voices are already loud, a great problem faced when educating children for example. The second is because that is his or her way of speaking or a way that he was used to it. In both cases reeducation is necessary, and, as Confucius 孔子, a master in teaching said, the better choice is by example, if you speak in a low volume the contrast with the other person will be so great that he or she will perceive his tone is much aggressive; but strict discipline maybe needed to be more effective.

The other is their emotions. Voices may lack energy in a bloomy, sad environment, or may carry too much when tranquility is needed.

The other is their meanings. Bad words and offensive language, subjects sensitive; of course talk about this subject is not prohibited but assuming people think like you is. Even words not presumptuous, as a simple interjection “god!” may not be appropriated; it brings to many questions and may attract more attention than needed and should be avoided. We don’t pay attention but we sometimes do not respect some differences; why not thank whispering.

Try always to make positive commentaries unless the use is to stimulate and give a sense of responsibility to someone; people will generally not like persons that always talk with some commentaries exalting things almost as envying (even if it is not the intention) or bring problems and sense of distress to the talk.

Of course it’s also important see the noises as a whole, but they are already somewhat covered by traditional Fengshui.
