The cyclic four images 四象si xiang and the lines four images

The cyclic four images representing the full cycle of yin and yang levels and the four combinations of broken and unbroken lines are different. Are you saying that the representation of the spring, summer, autumn and winter by the four images are wrong? Wrong maybe is not the correct word, but is a different use then of that used in the Yi jing (I ching)(易经)(易經).

The cyclic is better represented by a circle with the direction going clockwise, is simply values that goes up and down. The four combinations of the lines are a different value that carries a level of yin and yang (see my other text about how the lines of Yi jing work)

The same thing would happen if we use a sequence of Yi jing hexagrams (probably the King Wen 文王 sequence) and divide the day or the year in 64 parts and assigning each one of the hexagrams to a part, but then we would not have a situation that we would use the line reading, would we? Nor the use of the four images assigned to the simple division in four parts; it is a complete different use then of the language of the lines.

So we should call the different uses by different names, etc? As I said it is not exactly wrong, is just a different use, and an important one, I think the most important think we learn with that is how much we don’t know about the Yi jing and that it is more complex than we think.
